Rules to change Whatsapp Number even after leaving old chat
Science and Technology Desk: Whatsapp has added the feature of changing the number by keeping all the chats. However, it is important to know all the information before using that feature.
1) Open Whatsapp first from your Android smartphone or iPhone.
2) Now go to Account Options from Settings.
3) Choose the change number option. A new option will appear stating, ‘Changing phone number will migrate your account info, group and settings.’ Then tap the Next button.
4) Now you will be asked to give the old and new phone number respectively. Enter and then tap Next option.
5) A new message will be shown to you. Where your decision to change Whatsapp Number will be confirmed and asked whether you want to notify all contact numbers in this regard.
6) From here you can choose a total of three options - all contacts, all the contacts I have chatted with and custom. Choose an option that understands the requirements.
7) Now tap on the right option.
At last Whatsapp will request that you register the new number. A six-digit code will appear on your phone number, similar to the WhatsApp registration process. Enter. Once the whole process is complete, your WhatsApp number will change and all previous WhatsApp chats will remain.
