You can turn on the task manager by tapping on your phone's overview button, and the task manager will be opened if you drug and drop it from the bottom of the phone's screen in full screen navigation. Close WhatsApp through swipe up from here. Then click on the WhatsApp app icon again and enter the app.

Phone Restart

If your WhatsApp doesn't work even after following the mentioned two ways, you can restart your Android phone once and try again. If the Android phone does not restart for a long time, then many apps may not work due to the accumulation of activity and cache data. So if WhatsApp does not work on your Android phone, then you can restart the phone once. If you hold and hold the phone's power button, you will see the option to restart the phone on the screen.

Internet Check

Due to internet problems, but WhatsApp and any other app on the phone may not work. You can open any other app, such as YouTube, Facebook, Instagram, etc., using the Internet to understand whether whatsApp's problem on your phone or the net is actually working. If the apps mentioned are connected to the net, then it should be understood that it is only the problem of WhatsApp. Again, if these apps do not work, then you have to understand the problem of your internet.

By entering the phone's settings, you will get the menu of internet settings named Network and Internet/Connections, etc. In addition, wi-fi and mobile internet settings are available directly on many Android phones in the Settings app. If the option to use Background Data for WhatsApp on the phone is off, don't forget to turn it on as well.

App Updates

Many times the app does not work properly because it is not updated. If the device is updated, if the phone's app is not updated, then WhatsApp or any other app may not work. Again, for some kind of security reasons, WhatsApp's activity can be blocked by the Android system. To check if your WhatsApp is updated, enter Google Play or the App Store and check if there is an update in the app by entering WhatsApp and checking if there is an update in the app. If there is any update pending on WhatsApp, pay it and then check if the problem has been resolved.

Cache Data Clear

A type of computing method is called caching to ensure that the same data does not have to be loaded unnecessarily over and over again. And due to this caching, the loading time of the app can be slowed down, due to which any other app like WhatsApp can stop working. In that case, you can clear WhatsApp's cache data. To clear WhatsApp's cache data:

  • Enter your phone's settings
  • Scroll down to the apps and then select the See all apps option.
  • Then select WhatsApp.
  • Entering the storage option and selecting the Clear Cache option will make the cache data clean.

Device Storage Check

Even if there is not enough space on the phone, WhatsApp may not work well. Make sure there is enough space on the phone by entering the storage section from the phone's settings. Many times it is seen that WhatsApp does not work properly due to the lack of sufficient free space in the phone's storage. So if WhatsApp doesn't work, make sure there's enough storage on the phone.

Isn't WhatsApp down?

If your WhatsApp does not work even after following all the mentioned rules, then it may be a problem with the WhatsApp server. Although meta has not kept any official tool to see if the WhatsApp server is online, you can check if WhatsApp is down using various third-party tools. If you want again, you can go to Twitter and write WhatsApp and search to see if the problem is only with you, or someone else has faced the same problem.

It is to be noted that if the WhatsApp account is unused for 120 days in a row, it becomes deactivated on its own. After more than 120 days of closure, the same WhatsApp can no longer be used. To use WhatsApp on the same SIM, it is necessary to open a new WhatsApp account. However, there is no way to get back the deactivated account.
