 Rules for setting auto-reply emails in Gmail

People who use email but haven't seen the automated email may not be found.  Numerous automated emails on various topics from confirmation to recommendation can be found by searching our inbox.  You can easily use the automated email feature by following the two-step process.

 Basically in this process first an email will be created and it will be saved as a template.  Then you need to set a filter to send the email to the specific case.  Let's find out how to set up an automatic email reply via Gmail.

Email template created

 Email templates can be created and used by accessing the Gmail website.  However, this feature has not yet come to Gmail's mobile app.  First we need to know how to create a template in Gmail.

To use the template in Gmail, you must first turn on the feature from Settings.  Since this is an added benefit, and it is not commonly used, it does not turn on by default.  Template needed for auto-reply.  So we have to turn on the option first.

 To turn on the feature, first log in to Gmail's website.  Click on the gear icon in the top right corner.  Then select “See All Settings” from the sidebar displayed



 

Enter the Advanced tab and enable the option next to Templates.  Then click on “Save Changes” option.  The web page will be refreshed and the settings will be saved.



Then comes the turn of composing the email template.  Click the "Compose" button in the top left corner to compose a simple email.  Then enter the subject line and body line of the email.

 When you have finished writing the template email, click on the three dots at the bottom right.  Then move the mouse cursor over the Templates option and first select Save Draft as Template and then Save as New Template.  Then save the email template with a name.



Diameter!  Email template created.  If you want, you can close the email by clicking on the X in the top corner.

Automated filter setup

 After creating the email template, you need to set the filter for the email to be sent automatically.  Now we will learn how to set up filters for automatic replies in Gmail.

 First select the gear icon in the top right corner and then select the "See All Settings" option and enter the Gmail settings.  Click on the Filters and Blocked Addresses tab.  Then select “Create a New Filter” at the bottom.



Select which emails will be automatically replied at your convenience.  For example, if there is a specific word in the email using the Has The Words option, you can set filters for those emails.  Click on the “Create Filter” option to create a filter.



Then you will see the option of what action will be applicable for matching email.  Check in the Send Template box and select the email template you created in the first step from the drop down list.  In addition, if you want to take any additional action, you can do it from here.  For example, if you want to put a specific label on the emails, you can do it from this page.  When done, click on the "Create Filter" option.



By following the procedure correctly, an automatic email reply will be turned on for your Gmail email address.  If you want, you can check by sending an email from another email account to your account.  After sending the email, the automatic reply email from your account will actually let you know that the automatic email reply feature is working properly.
