Deleting the call recording app from the Google Play Store

Science and Technology Desk: All call recording apps will be removed from the Google Play Store for the new Play Store policy, Android developer Google has said.

The play store's new policy will come into effect from May 11.It has long since discouraged recording calls on the phone. With the release of Android 6, Google had stopped the official Android call recording API. Even after this, the developers used the call recording functionality to manage the matter in some way or the other. But with Android 10, that facility was also discontinued. Later, developers used the call recording system unofficially using Android's accessibility service.

However, a recent Google Play developer policy update revealed that from now on, apps that unofficially use the Accessibility service for call recording will be considered to have violated the Play Store's policies.

This means that the third-party Android call recording apps you're currently watching on the Play Store are basically using Android's Accessibility service to record calls unofficially.
